Approach to Therapy

Headshots-by-Lamonte-G-Photography-Square-For-LinkedIn-IMG_4931Wendy will partner with you in a confidential, secure environment as you work to resolve relationship issues. Clients tell Wendy that they feel safe with her and that they are able to open up and explore challenges they have never previously exposed. They know they will not be judged.

Underpinning Wendy’s work is a focus on the importance of attachment: we all long to connect – we strive for connection – often in imperfect ways that might actually push our partners away. Using specialized therapeutic techniques, Wendy helps couples learn to repair their intimate relationships and create secure bonds.

Wendy has a B.A. in psychology and a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Toronto. She is a Registered Social Worker (RSW), accredited by the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. She is also a Registered Marriage and Family Therapist (RMFT). Wendy stays current with new research and therapeutic techniques through professional development workshops and seminars.

Wendy and her husband have been married for 40 years and have three adult children. With a firm belief in the positive results of personal therapy, she has focused on her own growth through a variety of therapies including individual, marital and group therapy that was a significant part of her Gestalt training.
